005 Robbie May – From Cabbie to Creative

Graphic Designer Robbie May chats with David Crighton about his career and Laces Out, the trainer festival he launched in his hometown of Liverpool.

Robbie funded his studies as a cab driver in his home town of Liverpool and used design competitions to build his portfolio and profile. It was while working at a design and print company that Robbie got the opportunity to take the role of Creative Director on a magazine all about the city. This experience ultimately led him to set up one of the countries leading trainer festival, Laces Out.
